Download the app
Required OS versions:
- iOS - version 13 or later
- If using a Bluetooth PTT button, iOS version 16 or later is required (see why)
- Android - version 7 (Nougat) or later
Silence the app
Go to the Settings menu in the lower right corner. Slide DND to the right and it will turn red. This will mute all audio in the app. Only in-app text messages will be delivered while in DND.
To receive First Response Tone alerts when DND is enabled, enable the "Receive Incident Calls in DND" setting in Settings - First Response Tones.
Silence a channel
Long press on the channel you would like to mute. Select Mute from the menu that pops up. This will silence the audio from ONLY this channel. To receive audio again you must unmute the channel.
Set a Default Channel
When using a device that has a PTT button, or when using a Bluetooth PTT button, you must set a Default Channel. When no call is currently active and you press the hardware PTT button, a call will be started on the Default Channel.
To set the Default Channel, long press on the channel and enable 'Set As Default'.
Set a Priority Channel
Tango Tango supports priority PTT calls. A call on a Priority Channel will interrupt any ongoing call on a non-priority channel.
To set a Priority Channel, long press on the channel and enable 'Priority' for the channel.
Get First Response Tones notifications
If First Response Tones are enabled for your department, your phone can act similar to a pager. In the app Settings menu, select First Response Tones, then choose which Tones you would like to subscribe to. Next, go to the Channels menu and Mute the channel where the tones are transmitted. This will silence all audio on that channel, but will send an alert and the call audio when the specified tone is detected.
To receive FRT alerts even when the app has DND enabled, enable Receive Incident Calls in DND in the First Response Tones setting menu.
