Connecting the AINA PTT Voice Responder with Tango Tango
The PTT Voice Responder is a next generation Bluetooth speaker-microphone that can remotely control the Tango Tango push-to-talk function and play PTT call audio. To connect your AINA PTT Voice Responder to the Tango Tango app, follow these directions below, in the order specified.
- Make sure the PTT Voice Responder is physically near your smartphone. Turn on your PTT Voice Responder by holding down the Power button for more than 5 seconds. After it is on, a blinking green light will indicate that the device is ready for pairing.
- Turn on your smartphone's Bluetooth by going to (in your smartphone's OS menus):
Settings
—>Bluetooth
—>Turn on
. - Pair your PTT Voice Responder to your smartphone by selecting it from the available devices list. To know which device to select from the list, check the unique name on the back of your Voice Responder. Once it has successfully paired, a blue light will begin blinking on the Voice Responder.
- Now go to the Tango Tango app. In the
Settings
-Call Settings
menu, enable theUse Bluetooth
setting. - You may want to change the app’s
Call Progress Tones
settings, since the PTT Voice Responder allows you to make and participate in PTT calls without opening the app UI. Turning on additional call progress tones may improve the overall experience when operating in this mode. - (iOS Only) - In the Tango Tango app, go to the
Settings
-PTT Button
menu. Enable theEnable iOS PTT Support
setting. - In the
Settings
-PTT Button
menu, click theAdd PTT Button
then press the PTT button on the PTT Voice Responder. You should shortly see the Voice Responder’s unique name in the Nearby Devices pop-up and the bottom of the screen. Click it and the Voice Responder will appear in theMy Devices
list on the page.
